Welcome Welcome to St. Anne's Episcopal Church. We are a church rich in Anglican history and tradition. We are a church blessed with the great heritage of the Episcopal Church and with the endless gift of the Holy Spirit. We are a church with open doors and open hearts that says to all people, No matter where you are in your journey of faith you are welcome here!
Staff, Vestry, Grants Commission Staff/Vestry 2006 Priest: The Reverend John J. Jarrett, III Senior Warden: Leon Clark Grants Commission Our history is one of love, devastation, survival, and growth. Organized in 1921, our first building was constructed in 1924 only to be destroyed in 1926, rebuilt in 1927 and destroyed again in 1935. Rebuilt for the third time in 1938, it is the structure that fully serves our congregation today. Because of the early devastations only a few official records exists today, so little is known about the clergy who served at St. Anne's in the distant past aside from the following: The Reverend Elisha S. Clarke, II 1956 1962 The Reverend George R. Taylor 1968 1997 The Reverend Robert G. Preston 1977 1991 The Reverend Hobart J. Gary 1992 1994 The Reverend Williamson S. Taylor 1994 -2002 Deacon Thomas Newton, 1996 2001 The Reverend John J. Jarrett, III 2002 present We are a congregation that strives to transforms lives by God's amazing grace and unconditional love. We are a witness to the power of God's Love and His call for us to serve Him and His church. We are a congregation that walks in faith as we rise to take on the many challenges in this wounded world and in honor Jesus' name. In March 2005 the Vestry, Wardens, and Clergy embarked on an aggressive campaign to embrace and expand its service in the church, the community, and the world based on the congregation's January 2005 needs assessment. With this new focus, a Grants Commission was formed to seek and award grants for programs and activities that promote outreach, education and enrichment, spiritual formation, and Christain education. The Commission will also seek and award grants to augment our food pantry and in our capital campaign for bricks and mortar projects. In September 2005, we opened Harvest House a food pantry that is open to low income residents and hurricane victims in the cities of Hallandale Beach , West Park , Hollywood , Pembroke Pines , and Miramar To date, over 450 bags of food have been distributed to roughly 30 families. Worship Services/Pastoral Care Worship Services Holy Eucharist 9:00.A.M. every Sunday morning, followed by fellowship and coffee hour with breakfast Healing Service 7:00 P.M. every 2nd Tuesday of the month Special Services/ Holidays As listed on our Calendar of Events.

The care is provided to all parishioners, especially in times of grief, loss, illness, transition, or turmoil. Our clergy and lay ministers visit the ill and reach out to those coping with hardships. Clergy provide counseling, suggest resources, and offer sacraments and spiritual guidance. Any one who is in need or knows of someone in need should contact the Reverend John J. It is our support for our church ministries and programs that nurture our church family. It is the loving maintenance of our buildings and grounds. It is our way of reaching out beyond ourselves in service to others and our way of Building A Legacy For The Future and our existence for generations to come. With your traditional pledging and the addition of a planned giving to St. Anne's, you will be reminding loved ones that, wherever they are and wherever they live, giving something back to St. Anne's is an important Christian value. A planned gift can: Help us with our faith education and spiritual formation for Acolytes, Sunday School, Youth Choir, and adult Christian education programs. Help us offer emergency care to members in time of need , loss, or bereavement. Help us with Capital expenses for emergencies and/or ongoing building restorations and renovations. Help us insure St. Anne's financial future. A planned gift can be in the form of a bequest; a life insurance policy; a gift of life cash, securities, or real estate; or a memorial gift. No matter which gift you decide to offer, your generosity in giving will be greatly appreciated. For further information on planned giving, feel free to contact Charles B. Ring, III at the Episcopal Church Foundation of Southeast Florida www.charlie@episfoundation.org |
